Why does time go by so fast!

I just got on our blog and realized I have not posted for 10 weeks. So much has happened and I always feel like I'm rushing when I put it on my blog. So I decided to make it a goal this week and get up to date.

Since the last post we spent a week and a half in California with Taylor's family. We flew in early to S.F. and spent two nights there. The plane ride was long to say the least. We spent 3 hours on the runway before taking off and then had a 6 hour flight. I was glad that the flight was not full and Carson could stretch out across two seats. When we landed in S.F. we tried to get a taxi. I guess from living out in NY we have learned a little about Taxi drivers that some take complete advantage of you when you don't know the area. Taylor was asking different taxi drivers to give us a flat rate from the airport to our hotel. If you can only imagine us standing there extremely tired, a cart full of luggage and a very tired little boy. Finally one of the taxi drivers said I will take you for a flat rate. We got to our hotel and had a great night that consisted of three hours of sleep before Carson decided he wanted to be up.
We went to Alcatraz and did the tour along with Fisherman's warf. I think Carson's favorite part was riding the trolleys. He liked it because he could hold on in the back. It was different then being underground in a subway.
We then drove to Sacramento and met up with the rest of Taylor's family. We had so much fun. We spent two days out on the Lake. I got addicted to Settlers of Catan ( thanks Mama Nancy for playing) Carson liked the sand and hated his life jacket. I'm always amazed at my husband because he does not get to go do the things he really enjoys but he has this inate ability to pick up right where he left off. We went out wake boarding and he just does a back flip on the board. He has done it in the past but not for a few years. I don't know how he does it.
We headed back to S.F. and spent a day and a half there. We rented bikes and biked across the golden gate bridge. We went to six flags and had a great time with all of Taylor's family.

I was curious how things are going for you guys out there! I'm glad to hear all is well. Sounds like you had a fun trip minus the air travel. I hate cross country flights with kids especially leaving out of NYC...why must there always be a delay?

We love Settlers, next time your in town will have to play. Ticket to ride is a good one too if your looking for a new game! We are gaming geeks I know.
