We Love You

A year ago today I went into see a doctor in Utah because I hadn't felt you move for a day. I remember sitting in the chair when Dr. Woolsey told me that something had happened and he could not get a heart beat. I tried to hold in my tears while I sat there alone on the chair with so many emotions going through my body. Could this really be happing I thought.
I immediately called Taylor (who was getting on a plane to Europe) and told him what had happened.

When I delivered I remember holding you and wishing so bad that you would just start crying and that everything would be ok. You where perfect in every way. I don't know why you were not able to come to our family on this earth, but I'm so grateful for the chance that I will be able to see you again. I just have to wait a little bit loner then I thought.

I love you Mia and I think about you everyday. I think about what you would be doing at this time in your life, and wish so bad that you where with our family.

Thankyou to my sweet family and especially my mom who puts flowers on her headstone every other day for us.

Bear Lake with the Warner family

After we spent 10 days with the Leishman's we drove from California to Utah and spent a week with my family.

We went to Bear Lake with our good family friends the Mitchell's. It was a nice break to just sit and relax at the lake. Carson had fun just sitting on the beach playing in the sand all day long. He liked to get in the lake and splash around.

Probably the highlight to the trip every year is the water winnie. Everyone gets on and takes a turn. My dad is always a good sport and still gets on. The pictures tell how much fun everyone has on it every year.

We hiked through a cave that I thought Carson would like doing. I was totally wrong he hated it and Taylor had to take him out about 10 minutes into the cave.

Taylor sold his Harley while we were in Utah. He took Carson on one last ride around the block. It will be missed!

Why does time go by so fast!

I just got on our blog and realized I have not posted for 10 weeks. So much has happened and I always feel like I'm rushing when I put it on my blog. So I decided to make it a goal this week and get up to date.

Since the last post we spent a week and a half in California with Taylor's family. We flew in early to S.F. and spent two nights there. The plane ride was long to say the least. We spent 3 hours on the runway before taking off and then had a 6 hour flight. I was glad that the flight was not full and Carson could stretch out across two seats. When we landed in S.F. we tried to get a taxi. I guess from living out in NY we have learned a little about Taxi drivers that some take complete advantage of you when you don't know the area. Taylor was asking different taxi drivers to give us a flat rate from the airport to our hotel. If you can only imagine us standing there extremely tired, a cart full of luggage and a very tired little boy. Finally one of the taxi drivers said I will take you for a flat rate. We got to our hotel and had a great night that consisted of three hours of sleep before Carson decided he wanted to be up.
We went to Alcatraz and did the tour along with Fisherman's warf. I think Carson's favorite part was riding the trolleys. He liked it because he could hold on in the back. It was different then being underground in a subway.
We then drove to Sacramento and met up with the rest of Taylor's family. We had so much fun. We spent two days out on the Lake. I got addicted to Settlers of Catan ( thanks Mama Nancy for playing) Carson liked the sand and hated his life jacket. I'm always amazed at my husband because he does not get to go do the things he really enjoys but he has this inate ability to pick up right where he left off. We went out wake boarding and he just does a back flip on the board. He has done it in the past but not for a few years. I don't know how he does it.
We headed back to S.F. and spent a day and a half there. We rented bikes and biked across the golden gate bridge. We went to six flags and had a great time with all of Taylor's family.

How much fun can one little boy have with two grandma's

If you have wondered why I have not posted a blog in a long time this will answer your question. Carson has had both Grandma's stay at our house over the past month. He had so much fun with Grandma Leishman these are a few of the things Carson loved doing with Grandma Leishman:

Playing hide and go seek
Running on the grass
hours and hours of playing cars
The famous stories at night. I was always kicked out of the room at bed time.
Going to the Mets game and eating Cracker Jacks.
Central Park on the carousel and eating lots of Cream.
Body Slams!!!!

We miss you lots!

Then Grandma Warner came to visit. These are a few of the things Carson had fun doing with Grandma Warner.

Playing with his dump truck in the dirt.
Going to the beach.
Hide and go seek. This is Carson's favorite game.
Going out to lunch.
Going to the Park and throwing rocks with grandma.
Making lots of good treats.
Laying in the Big Boy Bed.
Fixing projects around the apartment.

We miss you both and can't thank you enough for all your help.

Carson's Birthday

My little Boy is 2

I never understood why parents would say "I wish time would slow down" until I became a mom. I have been looking at some pictures and it feels like just yesterday I was holding him for the first time. I feel so blessed to have him as my son and to have a husband that works so hard so I can stay home. Here are just a few things that make me laugh that Carson does or says.

1. Almost every morning when he wakes up he says "Mommy hold you, Mommy hold me" I have corrected him so many times that if he wants me to hold him he says "mommy hold me". It melts my heart every morning.

2. He has just starting saying Love you mommy.

3. Carries his toy cars with him everywhere he goes; this includes bedtime. I have to go in after he has fallen asleep and collect 7-10 cars. If I miss a few he rolls over them during the night and wakes up screaming. I try really hard to find all 10.

4. He loves to be with me all day. It does not matter if I'm doing dishes, making the bed, or cleaning.

5. If you know Carson well enough you know he goes by Carso. I don't know how that nick name started but it has stuck. It makes me laugh when people ask him his name because he replies Carso.

I love this little person so much and wish time would slow down a little bit.

Fun Weekend

On Friday night Carson and I decided to make homemade pizza. It was a lot of fun for Carson to put the cheese and Pepperonis on; he calls them "ronis". If you know Carson, you know that he never eats. Well while we were making the pizza I looked over and discovered that a big portion of the "Ronis" were gone. In my mind I thought did Carson really eat something that was somewhat healthy for him. I kept watching him to see if it was really true. YES! my child was eating some turkey pepperoni. It didn't last long but at least he ate something.

Saturday night we went into Time Square. We visited the Toys R Us store. This store is huge! We went on the ferris wheel inside and Carson got his picture taken with the giraffe. It was so funny to see Carson's reaction when we got to the Car section. He was grabbing all of the car packages off the shelves. He finally narrowed his selection down to a toy tractor.

First snow fall.

It snowed about 6 inches last night so Carson and I decided it would be fun to play in the snow. We called the Burr's and they came with us. Carson liked being pulled on the sled with his buddy Damon.
After sledding we went over to the Burr's and had yummy hot chocolate. What a fun morning.

Notice that Carson is still holding his toy cars even while sledding. He does not go any where with out them in his hands.

Love Long Weekends

Last weekend was so nice to have Taylor around. Every morning Carso wakes up and asks if Daddy is home? Taylor is usually gone before he wakes up, so my answer is the same "no Daddy had to go to work". Carso gets so sad. This weekend was especially nice for Carson. He loved waking up in the morning and having Taylor home to play cars with.

Taylor's parents gave Carson a gift card to the science center for his birthday. We decided to use it a little early, and go on Monday. It was a lot of fun. We went to a 3-d showing of the sun; Carson wore the glasses the entire time. He kept pointing, grabbing, and saying "balls daddy". I think his favorite part of the day was blowing into the giant bubble.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fun day.
